An Ohio native, Kirsten, brings nearly a decade of experience in dance education to Dance on Broadway. She specializes in a wide range of styles including acro, contemporary, jazz/musical theater, strength & conditioning, and leaps and turns/technique. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Dance from The Ohio State University and completed a program diploma at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Kirsten continued to hone her education by attending teaching intensives directed by Shannon Mather in California.
After completing her education, Kirsten returned to Ohio, where she co-directed a competitive dance company for six years. Under her leadership, the company achieved top placements at both the regional and national levels, including a national championship in 2019. Her choreography was featured in the American Dance Festival Student Showcase (Cleveland), offering her students the chance to perform at Playhouse Square. She has also choreographed several musicals for local state theaters.
Outside of the studio, Kirsten is a licensed mental health therapist. Kirsten is passionate about helping dancers thrive both as performers and individuals and is dedicated to creating a positive and encouraging environment for dancers of all levels.
