Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Avery began dancing at a young age. In 2016, she attended Florida State University, dancing Division I for four years on the nationally recognized Golden Girls Dance Team. There, she competed annually at UDA Nationals in Jazz and Hip Hop, performed at FSU athletic events, served as a student ambassador, and participated in community service initiatives, all while earning her Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Go Noles! 

 

In 2022, Avery danced professionally with Royal Caribbean International for two years, performing in high energy production shows for thousands of rotating international guests as she traveled the world. Her credits include Broadway style revues and Royal Caribbean original productions, from their signature Showgirl shows to Sonic Odyssey. 

 

Avery has taught at various studios, specializing in acro, contemporary, and jazz, and has choreographed competitive and national level routines. Now back in Chicago, she’s excited to join the Dance on Broadway family and share her love of dance, performance, and team spirit with her students.
