michelle haskell

Michelle Haskell (she/her), is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Cincinnati, Ohio. She
graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Dance and Choreography
focused in contemporary modern dance. Before VCU, she performed with The Cincinnati Pops
Orchestra and traveled nationally as a backup dancer for the recording artist named EBEN.
While attending VCU, Michelle performed at the American College Dance Association, The
Institute for Contemporary Art in Richmond, and, while in Australia, Space 28. She has had the
privilege to work and train with choreographers such as David Neumann, Glenda Figuieredo,
Lucy Guerin, and Brianna Kell. Before moving to Chicago, Michelle joined the dance company
Pones Inc. and danced in Travis Greene’s music video Easter. Currently, she is dancing as an
apprentice with the tap company Chicago Tap Theatre. Outside of the dance realm, she is a
professional singer and actress who recently starred in the feature film Imagined and danced in
the Netflix film White Noise. Choreographically, while at VCU, Michelle helped with the
musicals Spring Awakening, Little Shop of Horrors, and was able to present her own works A
Numb Collection and Nesting Kin. After moving to Chicago, her work, Just Pretend, was shown
in J e l l o: The Return. Michelle is excited to be joining the Dance On Broadway team and is
incredibly grateful for the friends and family who have supported her this far!
