wil geary

Wil grew up in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where he began his training at Faubourg School of Ballet. He placed 3rd in Classical and Contemporary solos, and 1st in Pas de Deux at the Youth America Grand Prix in Chicago. He then attended the finals in NYC which led him to continue training on scholarship at the Houston Ballet Academy, Miami City Ballet School, Milwaukee Ballet Academy, and as a trainee performing with The Joffrey Ballet. His professional highlights include working as a principal dancer in the European tour of Best of: Rock the Ballet and as a soloist in Rock the Ballet X with Sweetbird Productions. Wil also performed in Cirque du Soleil’s Volta as the principal character, “Waz”, and also performed in Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour in Hamburg, Germany under the direction of Tony Award-winning choreographer, Sergio Trujillo. Additionally, Wil is a part of Actors’ Equity Association and performed at The Old Globe Theatre in Guys and Dolls under the direction of Josh Rhodes (Broadway’s Bright Star and Cinderella). His TV credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel; McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; So You Think You Can Dance; and Germany’s Next Top Model. Wil also danced in Todrick Hall’s “Sorry Barbie” music video.

 

Furthermore, Wil has taught throughout the Chicago, New York, and LA area to students of all levels and ages. He’s had the pleasure of teaching at Murrieta Dance Project, Jagged Edge Dance Academy, Degas Dance Studio, Serendipity Dance Company, Sierra Madre Dance Center, and Southland Ballet Academy over the last several years. Wil teaches ballet, jazz, contemporary, acro, musical theatre, partnering, tap, and jazz funk.

 

Wil is excited to join the faculty at Dance on Broadway and looks forward to working with the dancers!
