Rachel Ann Thomas is a professional dancer, choreographer, and actor based in Chicago. At a young age, she began studying a variety of different dance forms, the most impactful of all was ballet, which she trained in for 9 years at Southold Dance Theater in South Bend, Indiana where she grew up. During this time and after, she competed in ballroom competitions and performed in numerous ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty.
Rachel has also studied hip hop, modern, jazz, ballroom, tap, and musical theater. She has trained with a range of professionals from instructors at the American Ballet Theater to Broadway dancers/choreographers including Erica Fischbach, JoAnn and Tom Barkes, Anna Reznik, Alexei Kremnev, Michael Vernon, Calin Radulescu, Thayne Jasperson, and Mariusz Skonieczny. Her choreography credits range from 1st place YAGP solo "La Vie En Rose" to musical theater performances such as West Side Story, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Rachel is currently a full-time performer, choreographer, and content creator (Tik Tok: rachel.ann.thomas). She enjoys exploring new ways to use dance to tell a story and has a passion for teaching and inspiring others through this beautiful art form.
