Rachel was born in Chicago, IL and has had the pleasure of training with such great artists as Randy Duncan, Eduardo Vilaro, Anna Paskevska, and many more Chicago dance legends. After graduating from the Chicago Academy for the Arts with a focus on ballet and modern dance, Rachel started her career with the Joel Hall Dancers, later to join Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre. These opportunities opened up a world of performances on great Chicago stages such as the Harris Theater, Auditorium Theatre and Chicago Symphony Center, to name a few. Rachel also had the pleasure to work with Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theatre and study with the talent of the Las Vegas strip at the Rock Center for Dance. Rachel is also very proud of her work teaching dance for the Urban Gateways and After School Matters programs. Dance education is more than meets the eye. As an educator, Rachel’s mission is to not only build strong technique, but to build strong, confident, empathetic thinkers for the future.
