martina reed

Martina Reed discovered her love for dance in her hometown of Battle
Creek, Michigan. After transferring from Oakland University in 2019,
she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Western
Michigan University in May of 2021. During this time, she performed in
works by choreographers Mike Esperanza, Monique Haley, Jeremy Blair,
Stephanie Pizzo, Liz Riga, Molly McMullen, and Kaitlyn Pollock.
Martina performed in the annual American Collegiate Dance Association
regional conference in both 2019 and 2020, dancing in works by Claire
Little of OU and Monique Haley of WMU. She has performed with dance
companies Oakland Dance Theatre, Orchesis Dance Society, and Hip Hop
ConnXion Michigan. Martina's notable choreographic works include
"shatter for-" and "facade" created during her time at WMU. While
attending school and after graduating, Martina taught at Center Stage
Dance Studio, coached the Harper Creek High School Pom Team, and
choreographed for multiple studios around southwest Michigan. Martina
has recently relocated to Chicago, Illinois to further her
professional career while continuing her work as a dance instructor,
choreographer, and photographer. She is looking forward to a great
season with Dance On Broadway!
