Judy Burke began formal dance training at age 4 in Upstate New York. She has studied Ballet, Tap and Jazz with Deborah Boughton, David Shields, David Howard, Tim Roberts, Danny Sloan, Rhee & Rennie Gold, Robert Audy, Leon Collins, Nancy Newell and Suzanne Hayles. She is a former member of Syracuse Ballet Theatre, Hayles and Company Dance, Jazz Dance New Hampshire, TAPestry and most recently MetroTap in DC. Ms. Burke has appeared on Broadway and in many regional dinner theatre and community theatre productions. Her credits also include film and television work. Her teaching experience includes teaching children through adults at Syracuse Ballet Theatre, Danse Papillion, Concord, NH, Guest Teaching at Dance Arts in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Dancesensations, Burgundy Farm Country Day School and Joy of Motion, Virginia/DC. She created an adult education dance program for the Concord Public Schools and was Director of the Adult Dance Program at the Metropolitan School of the Arts in Alexandria, VA. She has also choreographed many musicals and dance performances. Ms. Burke is a Social Dance Instructor. She competed for 10 years on the National Swing Circuit and is a five time Virginia State Hustle Champion. She currently teaches in the adult programs at Glenwood Dance Studio and Dance on Broadway in Chicago.
