Irfan Qurashi

Born in India, raised in New York and dancing in Chicago Irfan Qurashi, found his passion for dance at 13 years old, discovering Popping & B-boying and training himself in those styles through his younger years, resorting to watching battles & cyphers on YouTube. Irfan has danced and taught all over the Chicago dance community, performing and competing with local dance companies such as The Puzzle League, CODA, and Boom Crack Dance Company. He has taught at several studios including Millennium Dance Chicago, Visceral, Extensions Dance Studio, Soul 2 Soul, and many community workshops. Irfan has also received special training from Chicago dance veterans such as Daz Harris, Ian Eastwood, CJ Salvador, Torrence Tea-Buggz, Matt Pumanes and many more. Irfan's latest professional credit comes from the Netflix musical series, SOUNDTRACK, directed by Josh Safran with choreography by James Aslop. He earned a principal dancer role when the lead actress, Callie Hernandez, attended a hip-hop class of his and recommended him to the choreographer.

Irfan is currently teaching at Dance and Music Academy in Glenview & Edgebrook. He teaches the hip-hop classes as well as director of the professional youth company, The Infinity Collective. Irfan Qurashi continues to train his free-styling, fundamentals, & choreography though classes, workshops, battles, cyphers and many other outlets in Chicago, LA, and New York to provide the best class experience for anyone willing to learn from him, whether they be kids, adults or professionals.

Currently, you can find examples of Irfan's choreography & performance on his instagram, @irfan_qurashi and his Youtube channel, www.youtube.com/user/IrfanTheWindtalker - where you can witness concept, workshop, and submission videos displaying his choreography
