Emmanuel Ramirez is a dancer, actor, choreographer and dance teacher based in Chicago, IL. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Drama from Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, Mexico. Emmanuel trained intensively at the School of the Dynamic Method by Sergio Vicencio, studying ballet technique, classical repertoire, pas de deux, and choreography. From 2006-2008 he danced for the contemporary company Guadalajara en Movimiento. He danced for Compania de Danza Classica y Neoclasica de Jalisco and for the Company of Classical Dance of the Quintana Roo State. In his desire to connect with other artists and cultures, Emmanuel first traveled to Chicago in September of 2016, where he performed in Ballet Legeres’ “Nutcracker”, as well as Ruth Pages’ “Nutcracker” in 2016-2018. Later, he became a company member of Elements Contemporary Ballet, and also performed in Lucky Plush Productions’ “Rink Life”. He has been teaching ballet, pointe, contemporary dance and partnering at various dance studios around Chicago. Emmanuel dances, choreographs and teaches a variety of different dance genres, including ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and Latin.
